Strain Relief Bushings
Round nylon bushings that protect power cords from cuts and pull-out at the chassis edge.
Strain Relief Bushings protect the power cord at the point where it leaves the chassis - the exact place cables chafe, flex and eventually fail. The round nylon bushing snaps into the mounting hole and grips the cord, so pulling, tension and bending are absorbed by the bushing instead of the wire.
That one small part prevents two common field failures: the cord being cut by the sharp sheet-metal edge, and internal conductors shorting against the frame. Home appliances, lighting, electronic equipment and wire outlets are the everyday applications.
